By late March, the world is shifting—quietly but unmistakably. Buds swell on bare branches, birdsong deepens, and the earth begins to loosen its cold grip. Around Ostara, the spring equinox, light and dark find their moment of balance. It is a season of beginnings, soft openings, and renewed breath.
Horses move through this turning of the year with a natural curiosity. Their senses awaken with the warmer air, their bodies lift with the lengthening days. They remind us that emergence can be gentle—an unfurling rather than a leap.
On March 28th, we gather to honor this tender return of spring.
We begin with a slow forest bathing walk through the early-spring woods. New shoots, damp earth, and shifting light invite us to notice what is stirring both around us and within us. This walk is an invitation to come back into the body, to feel held by the living world, and to remember that we too are part of this seasonal awakening.
Inside the ring at High Hopes, the horses will guide us into a practice of presence and relational connection. Through hand-led interactions, we’ll explore communication through breath, boundaries, curiosity, and grounded intention. Horses meet us as we are—they respond to authenticity, not performance—offering a powerful mirror for how we show up in our own lives.
We’ll also spend time observing the horses at liberty, witnessing their social dynamics, movement, and emotional expression. To watch horses in their natural rhythms is to learn about trust, leadership, and relational balance—qualities aligned beautifully with Ostara’s theme of harmony and renewal.
We close our gathering with tea, journaling, and circle conversation. Together we’ll reflect on what the horses and the season of early spring have revealed about balance, returning, and the first green stirrings of possibility.
No horse experience is required—only openness and willingness to be present. You are welcome to engage at your own pace, including choosing to observe.
