Early Fall Whale Watch Trip: Embrace the Mystery and Magic of Whales (FOUR SPACES AVAILABLE)

  • Departing from Essex, Ct to Plymouth, Mass United States (map)

A Sacred Journey by Sea

Join us for an extraordinary late-summer adventure in Plymouth, Massachusetts—a whale watch unlike any other. Together, we’ll embark on a four-hour voyage into the waters of Cape Cod Bay and Stellwagen Bank, guided by expert naturalists and held by the vastness of the sea.

This is more than an excursion. It’s a chance to witness the presence of gentle, soulful giants—humpback, fin, minke, and pilot whales—as they rise from the depths in their own time and grace.

Part science, part sacred listening, this journey invites both wonder and reflection, opening us to the deep intelligence of nature and the mystery that moves beneath the surface of things.

  • Witness the world's most elusive and graceful mammals—humpback whales, finback whales, pilot whales, minke whales, and the endangered right whales—up close.

  • Our voyage takes us to Cape Cod Bay and Stellwagen Bank. This National Marine Sanctuary is a rich feeding ground for a variety of whale species, including humpback, finback, pilot, minke, and endangered right whales.

  • Keep an eye out for:

    • Humpback Whales: Known for their acrobatic behaviors like breaching and tail slapping, they are a common sight from April to October.

    • Fin Whales: The second-largest whale species, they are best spotted from May to September.

    • Minke Whales: These smaller whales are known for their curious and independent nature and can be seen from April to November.

    • Atlantic White-Sided Dolphins: These playful dolphins are often seen alongside the larger whale species, especially from June to October.

About Stellwagen Bank: A Sanctuary Beneath the Waves

Stellwagen Bank is a National Marine Sanctuary located at the mouth of Massachusetts Bay—a vast underwater plateau spanning 842 square miles between Cape Ann and Cape Cod. Just 21 miles east of Boston, it is one of the richest marine ecosystems in the Atlantic.

This protected area is a vital feeding ground for a variety of marine life, including haddock, cod, flounder, and a dazzling array of seabirds. But it is perhaps most beloved for the whales that gather here—graceful humpbacks, immense fin whales, curious minkes, playful dolphins, and the rare and endangered North Atlantic right whale.

Recognized as one of the top ten whale watching destinations in the world, Stellwagen Bank is more than a place to see whales.

It’s a place to feel them.

To witness the mystery of something ancient and alive—

moving just beneath the surface.

As we travel these waters together, we do so with respect, wonder, and gratitude.

For this sanctuary.

For the creatures who call it home.

And for the chance to meet them, even for a moment.

Educational and Reflective

This journey is both an exploration and a remembering. As we witness the beauty and majesty of the whales, we’ll also explore our deep, ancient connection to them—and to the ocean itself.

Throughout the voyage, you'll receive thoughtful reflection prompts designed to deepen your experience and open space for personal insight. Bring your journal and your wonder.

Together, we’ll celebrate the wisdom of these magnificent beings—not only through what we learn, but through how we feel.

Before returning to shore, we’ll close our time with a simple blessing to honor the whales, the waters, and our shared presence in this moment. There will also be space to share reflections and impressions with one another—heart to heart, sea to soul.

This experience is meant to be more than a trip.

It’s an invitation into connection, reverence, and quiet transformation.

  • Every women receives a Whale Medicine Guide I wrote — filled with rituals, reflections, and prompts to help you move through life with grace, like the whales themselves.

  • A thoughtfully gathered snack basket and herbal tea to nourish you on the water.

  • A keepsake tote bag to carry your journal, your intentions, and perhaps a shell or two.

  • And maybe most important of all: time with kindred spirits — women who also long for something slower, deeper, and true.
