Sacred Waters, Ancient Wells, and the Quiet Power of the Feminine

  • Virtually via ZOOM (map)

In the deep places of the earth, water waits — and remembers.

Water has long been understood as more than a physical element. Across ancient landscapes, wells have been approached as living places of mystery, renewal, and spiritual presence. For generations, women have gathered at these sacred waters — drawing from them not only what was needed for daily life, but also reflection, guidance, and a deeper connection to the quiet rhythms of the earth.

  • In this gathering we will explore the spiritual symbolism of wells and their long relationship with the feminine. Across many traditions, wells have been understood as sacred openings in the earth — places where hidden waters rise from deep within the land. For generations, women have come to these places to draw water, but also to pause, reflect, and listen.

  • Like the well itself, water invites us to look beneath the surface. Flowing, reflective, and ever-changing, it mirrors qualities often associated with feminine wisdom: intuition, depth, receptivity, and the quiet capacity for renewal.

  • We will also reflect on the idea that water carries memory and meaning as it moves through the earth. Rising from underground springs, circulating through clouds, rivers, and oceans, and moving through living bodies, water participates in a vast exchange of life and information. In this way, the well can be understood as both a mirror and a messenger — offering a glimpse into the deeper currents moving through the world and within ourselves.

  • Together we will consider the possibility that healing waters do not simply restore the body, but invite us to remember our deeper wholeness. When we approach the well as sacred, we are reminded that the same living waters move through the earth and through us.

  • Through reflection and shared inquiry, this class invites a quieter way of approaching water — and the well itself — not simply as a source to draw from, but as a place of listening, depth, and relationship with the living earth.

Before the gathering, participants will receive a personal Water Oracle reflection based on their birth date. This message connects them with one of the archetypal waters of the earth and offers a symbolic invitation to reflect on their relationship with water.
