We Have a Bold Vision
Volunteer With Us. Volunteer to help us with our Feeder For Friends program by committing to visiting weekly to fill the feeders and wave to our new friends in nursing homes.
Donate Supplies. We accept new bird feeders, birdseed- especially black sunflower seeds, window feeders, suet feeders with suet cakes, hummingbird feeders, and shepherd's hooks. View & Order from our Amazon Wish List.
Partner With Us. We love community partnerships—local hardware stores, stores that sell wild bird products, schools, Boy & Girl Scouts—we will happily work with you!
Our vision is to inspire and empower people of all ages to take action in their lives to help wildlife and look after the living landscape. At Friends of the Forest, we believe that in order to protect our wildlife and wild spaces, we need to start by providing opportunities for people to develop a relationship with the living earth. When people experience and connect with nature they are also more likely to act in ways that improve the human condition and benefit the Earth itself.
We strategically plan and offer educational programs that bring people closer to nature, like our forest bathing walks, to ensure that every person has the opportunity to experience nature in their daily life.
However, while many of us experience, benefit from, and care for nature, others face barriers to experiencing and connecting with it. Our programs are grounded in the premise that nature is beneficial and should be accessible to everyone. With that in mind, our forest bathing walks are by donation, for those who are able. Donations are not required and the amount of your gift is entirely up to you.
