Celebrating Ostara: Creating an Earth Altar & Spring Forest Bathing Walk (SOLD OUT/Wait list)

  • Private Residence East Haddam United States (map)

The Wheel of the Year Turns Again. The Light is returning… and with the Light comes the Awakening

The most beautiful thing about following the Wheel of the Year is the ability to follow the personal path of spiritual growth and celebration of nature. The Ostara celebration, also known as the Spring Equinox, is a time to welcome the renewal of the natural world and the arrival of spring. Many people mark the occasion with special rituals, feasts, and gatherings to honor the changing of the seasons. During our forest bathing walk, we will take time to notice the signs of spring all around us – the budding trees, chirping birds, and blooming flowers. Feel the earth beneath your feet and breathe in the fresh air. Allow yourself to be fully present in this moment of rebirth and growth.

Take some time for yourself and spend an afternoon with like-minded women, connecting deeply with the natural world and with your sense of place. Join us as we explore a new way of reconnecting with Mother Earth in celebration of Ostara. We will talk about the powerful practice of creating an earth altar and connecting with the energies around us.

What Kind of Earth Altar Might You Create with Mother Nature’s Bounty?

Creating an earth altar is a sacred, personal act that allows us to connect with the natural world and tap into our inner creativity. As we settle into our chosen spot and begin designing our altar with gifts from nature we collected on our forest bathing walk, we enter a state of concentration and switch off from the usual thoughts that race through our minds. This process allows us to access our intuition and experience a state of meditation. We become fully present in the moment, quieting our busy minds and calming our nervous systems. Through this sacred act of creation, we can send our wishes, worries, prayers, and gratitude into Mother Earth. The earth altar becomes a portal through which we can connect with the energies around us and oscillate our heartbeat to the rhythm of the planet.

Creating an Earth Altar is a beautiful, silent way to thank the earth and all living things.

Together, we will visit each mandala, blessing each creation, the land, and the spirits that reside there. We will close our time together with a quiet fireside tea ceremony, enjoying the gentle plant medicine, allowing for a deeper connection to the self, nature, and those around you. This is also an opportunity to share with the group, if you choose, a few words about your experience.
