Your Guide: Kathleen Lowe

Kathleen Lowe, the founder of Friends of the Forest, is a passionate advocate for nature-based living and the sacred cycles of the Wheel of the Year. A certified Mindful Outdoor Guide through the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership and the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs (ANFT), Kathleen has dedicated herself to creating transformative experiences that connect individuals to the rhythms of the Earth.

Through her work, Kathleen invites women to embrace the flow of the seasons, grounding themselves in the wisdom of nature and the Wheel of the Year. Her teachings integrate a blend of mindfulness, ritual, and somatic healing, supporting each participant in cultivating deeper harmony and balance in their lives. With her guidance, women learn to honor the turning of the Wheel through seasonal rituals, sacred practices, and self-care that nourish the body, mind, and spirit.

Kathleen’s recent training in somatic healing deepens her approach, incorporating practices that help participants become more attuned to their physical sensations and emotional energy. This offers a holistic approach to the seasons, inviting women to align with the cyclical nature of life, release stored tension, and create space for growth and renewal.

As a strong believer in sustainability and environmental conservation, Kathleen encourages women to develop a profound connection to nature and a desire to protect the Earth for future generations. This course, while online, is designed to help women connect with nature's cycles no matter where they are, fostering a deep sense of belonging and grounded presence in the natural world.

With a degree in Art History from Brown University, Kathleen sees art and nature as deeply intertwined, believing that both invite personal expression and reflection. Her classes invite women to use the changing seasons as a canvas for growth, creativity, and sacred connection.

Kathleen’s personal journey toward wellness has been enriched by aligning with the rhythms of nature, and it is her honor to guide women as they walk the sacred path of the Wheel of the Year, exploring the power of the seasons, honoring the sacred feminine, and cultivating deep transformation in their lives.
