Forest Bathing at the Crossroads: Under Hecate’s Sky

  • Sheep Farm Park (South) 126 Hazelnut Hill Road Groton, CT, 06340 United States (map)

As summer begins its slow descent toward autumn, and the new moon casts its quiet shadow, we meet at the threshold—between seasons, between stories, between who we’ve been and who we’re becoming.

This gathering invites you into a sacred forest walk inspired by the ancient Festival of Hecate, guardian of intuition, transformation, and the crossroads. Together, we will walk with presence and purpose through the wild beauty of Sheep Farm Park South in Mystic (Groton)—a land of open fields, winding trails, old stone walls, and the steady song of water.

This is not a hike or a class. It is a slow, soul-centered journey into nature and inner knowing.

What the Experience Includes

Opening Circle: Setting Intention at the Threshold
We begin gathered in circle with a brief grounding and welcome, followed by a quiet ritual of intention-setting using forest-inspired oracle cards. Each participant will receive a hand-designed journal and a small symbolic key—tokens to carry with you throughout the walk. The key represents your intuition and inner wisdom, and the journal will serve as your space for reflection and insight.

Forest Bathing Walk
As we enter the woods, we’ll move slowly and mindfully, guided by seasonal themes and subtle invitations to listen, feel, and observe. This is an intentional walk—noticing the curve of a branch, the texture of moss, the light shifting through trees.

Along the way, you’ll be offered gentle forest-based invitations:

  • Reflective pauses to notice what’s rising within and around you

  • Quiet prompts to explore your personal crossroads—through journaling, stillness, or silent observation

  • A symbolic threshold crossing, where you'll be invited to consider what you’re releasing, and what you're ready to step toward

Waterfall Ritual: Cleansing and Clarity
Midway through our walk, we’ll arrive at a small waterfall. Here, we’ll pause for a ritual of renewal. Together, we will take a few moments of silence to listen to the sound of the water and reflect on the cycles of letting go and receiving. This ritual invites you to connect deeply with the healing energy of water—one of the earth’s most ancient and transformative forces. We’ll hold a few moments of shared silence to let the sounds of the water speak what words cannot.

Closing Circle: Integration and Sharing
We’ll close our journey gathered in a quiet spot, sipping herbal tea and reflecting together. This is a soft space for journaling, sharing insights (if you wish), and simply witnessing each other at the crossroads.

You’ll leave with your journal, your key, and your own inner compass tuned just a little more clearly toward what’s next.
