Make an Impact. Join the Flock.
Our Friends of the Flock is a monthly giving program of a group of dedicated supporters who make a small monthly gift that provides a big impact for songbirds. As a Friends of the Flock member, you help us provide critical veterinary treatment to sick, injured, and orphaned songbirds and return them to their natural habitat.
A tax-deductible monthly gift of $15.00 or more entitles you to a number of year-round benefits – the most important benefit being the gratifying feeling from stepping up to help us care for injured and orphaned songbirds, protecting their natural habitats, and assuring we can continue to provide educational opportunities for people to engage with nature.

Wildlife rehabilitation is a costly endeavor. Did you know the cost to rehabilitate just one songbird can cost $50 to $250?Orphaned songbirds require specialized diets and hand-feeding every 20 minutes from dawn through dusk. Many people do not realize that wildlife rehabilitation is a “volunteer entity.” Most monies to feed and house songbirds that are rescued come from the people who find an injured or orphaned bird, donors, and the pockets of the rehabbers themselves.
Our Annual Fundraising Goal is $25,000
Our work is supported entirely by donations. Monthly or consecutive yearly donations from our sustainers ensure that there is a reliable source of income available for much-needed resources such as food, medical care, and shelter. If you care about songbirds and would like to make a life-saving contribution, please consider making a gift today.

How Would You Like To Donate?
The Sanctuary currently feeds 20,000 live mealworms a week! They also provide a minimum of 50 pounds of sunflower seeds a week using only the shelless sunflower seeds so any bird can take advantage of the high protein food. The Sanctuary has bluebirds, robins, catbird, mockingbirds and more who visit the feeder in addition to seed eating favorites like cardinals, finches, titmice and chickadees.

Your monthly donation of $15 means $180 a year to care for songbirds. $15 a month helps bring nutritional support to an orphaned baby songbird. Orphaned songbirds often arrive without feathers and their eyes still closed. They require weeks of specialized care before they can return to the wild.
-
$25.00
Your monthly donation of $25 means $300 a year to care for songbirds. $25 a month provides 1,000 live mealworms for one week. Live insects are a major expense for Friends of the Forest. They are the main diet for most of the birds in rehabilitation. One tiny songbird eats 100 live insects a day!
-
$50.00
Your monthly donation of $50 means $600 a year to care for songbirds. $50 a month helps provide emergency veterinary care for songbirds that have suffered traumatic injuries as the result of window strikes, cat attacks, being hit by cars, bacterial and viral illnesses, and other injuries that require veterinary attention.
