A women’s storytelling and nature-based gathering
There are conversations happening above us every day.
Wind moves through branches. Birds answer in rhythm and call. Light shifts, stretches, and returns. For most of human history, people understood this movement as language — not mystical in a distant sense, but a living dialogue between sky, land, and those willing to listen.
This class takes place on the day we shift into daylight savings — a modern clock change that mirrors something much older: the seasonal turning toward longer light, renewed motion, and awakening sound. The air becomes restless. Birds stitch their voices back into the landscape. The forest begins to breathe differently.
Held as a women’s gathering, this class creates a gentle, welcoming space to explore listening — both to the living world and to your own inner rhythm. Just as wind and birds communicate through presence and response, we come together in shared curiosity and reflection, remembering the power of witnessing and being witnessed in community.
In this 90-minute storytelling and nature-based class, we explore how wind and birds have long been understood as messengers and interpreters of seasonal change — while grounding that perspective in the forest bathing practice of presence, sensory awareness, and relationship with place.
Rather than focusing on identification or performance, we approach the sky as a living environment we can feel, observe, and reconnect with. Through folklore, reflection, and forest bathing principles, we cultivate a way of listening that is both ancient and deeply practical.
Together we’ll explore:
Wind in folklore as messenger, threshold keeper, and carrier of change
Birds as storytellers, omens, and guides to seasonal transition
How wind and birds create a living soundscape that reveals the rhythm of the land
Forest bathing perspectives on listening, presence, and sensory awareness
The daylight shift as a moment to reorient to light, time, and the moving sky
Gentle rituals, self-reflection prompts, and forest bathing invitations to continue practicing sky-listening in everyday life
Through story, visual imagery, and guided reflection, this class weaves mythic understanding with embodied nature awareness — inviting you to experience the sky not as empty space, but as an active, communicative presence.
This is not a class about decoding signs or mastering knowledge. It is about remembering how to notice — how to let wind, birds, and shifting light draw you back into relationship with the living world, within a supportive circle of women exploring alongside you.
After the class, you’ll receive a companion PDF with expanded folklore notes, reflection prompts, and forest bathing invitations to support your continued exploration and practice.
You’ll leave with a renewed sense of curiosity, a deeper appreciation for the voices that move through the air, and gentle invitations to continue listening in your daily life — whether outdoors, at a window, or in your own sit spot.
No prior experience is needed. Only a willingness to slow down, observe, and wonder.
