The Wheel of the Year is set to turn, and what a beautiful turn it is. Ostara, the Spring Equinox, is upon us, and the energy of our more-than-human world is one of anticipation of the full and vibrant awakening of Mother Nature. Ostara is the celebration of the spring equinox. This is the time when light overcomes the dark. It is a point of perfect balance when day and night are of equal length.
Ostara symbolizes a time for growth, renewal, new beginnings, fertility, abundance, and hope. Life energy is rising all around us. It’s a powerful time to set your intentions for the upcoming year. Join us on this joyous and uplifting day as we take a gentle meditative walk in nature, observing signs of spring around us through nature journaling.
What to Expect: It’s Time to Step into the Light
Please bring your journal, or if you do not have a journaling practice, this is a perfect time to start a nature journal, as the beginning of each season is a great time to reflect on life, dream of the future, and reassess your own development. I will be providing you with nature-based journal prompts during our walk.
Using all our senses, we will explore nature with a sensory scavenger hunt during our walk.
The egg is a symbol of new beginnings. We will be manifesting our spring intentions with an Ostara egg ritual and planting it beneath a new seedling.
In honor of Ostara, the Goddess of spring, we will close our time together by sharing delicious homemade lavender and lemon shortbread cookies (springtime in a cookie!) with a seasonal hot tea.
