By joining in a circle we connect to ancient wisdom and our innate knowing. In the circle, we provide each other with a gentle, loving, and magical space where we can rediscover, nurture and honor the feminine within. A circle can recharge us with energy when we feel weak and helps us remember the power and wisdom of feminine energy. It is also an opportunity to connect with other women on the same path of inner and personal development, supporting us to achieve our goals and dreams.
We will begin our time together in the circle with an opening meditation, followed by check-in (how are you, how was your month), leading into a discussion on our topic. We will enjoy a shared meal together and I will lead everyone on a mini-forest bathing meditative walk. We will close the circle together releasing energies and giving thanks.
The topic for our July gathering is "The Masks We Women Wear." Some questions to ponder before our gathering:
When did you feel the call to awaken to your true self?
What masks did/do you wear to fit in a masculine-dominated world?
What masks hide your true self today?
What can we do to support each other and our authentic selves?

July Goddess
Yemayá, Mother Orisha of the Sea Yemaya, this Yoruban Goddess of water is an ideal Goddess for July. Yemayá was brought over to the New World by enslaved Africans as early as the 16th century. It is not too surprising that she was frequently called upon and remembered as the slaves traveled over water for most of the journey.
Yemayá is placed here, in July, because of the water sign of Cancer ruling this month and its connections to the moon. Yemayá is perhaps the most nurturing of all the Orishas, and it’s believed that all of life comes from her deep nourishing waters. Her strong and protective energy can be found virtually everywhere, but especially near oceans and lakes.
All these are ultimate aspects of the Mothering, feminine principle. If love and comfort are what you need then call on this all-powerful and nurturing Goddess.
Yemayá is associated with the numbers seven and ten, the colors blue and white, pearls, silver, conch shells, and doves. Offerings for her include molasses, coconut cakes, white flowers, and watermelon.
