We Need Birdseed & Feeders
We purchase, set up, and maintain bird feeders at local nursing homes so residents can enjoy the therapeutic benefit of the more than human world. Birdwatching offers a great opportunity to engage patients with memory loss.
Birdseed is our largest expense and it is something we always need—12 months a year!
We DO NOT accept any bird food that is labeled "hot or sizzling, "etc. We welcome all critters!
We are always in need of the following:
Black Oil Sunflower Seeds
Whole Sunflower Hearts
Nyjer Seed
Berry, Fruit, and Nut Blend
Suet and Suet Feeders
Dried Mealworms
