Winter Solstice Labyrinth Walk & Intention Setting (SOLD OUT)

  • Private Residence Guilford, CT United States (map)

“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.”
Desmond Tutu

For thousands of years, our ancestors across cultures recognized the Winter Solstice as a seasonal pause to slow down, listen deeply, and embrace the dark.  A walk through the labyrinth can be an opportunity, with the energy of the changing season, to take this pause and reflect. In a world where moving on is often the primary focus, the gift of a seasonal pause can be such a blessing. A labyrinth walk is a beautiful practice at this time of year to take stock of where we are in our lives, how we’re feeling, what we’re grateful for, and what we’re ready to let go of.

Please join us for a beautiful evening hosted at a private home to celebrate the winter solstice as a community of women.

What To Expect

  • As we prepare for Yule on this, the longest, darkest night of the year, we’ll gather together around a fire to share, journal, and connect with our personal intentions for the shifting season.

  • As day shifts to dusk, we’ll each embark on a meditative, candlelit labyrinth walk where we literally “set” our intentions in stone—and light the way for the slow re-emergence of the sun. From out of the cold and darkness, light and hope return.

  • Anyone wishing to incorporate their religious beliefs may offer prayers at the start and end of their journey. It is a quiet, reverent ceremony that will not be interrupted.

  • At the end of our walk, we will enjoy some hot tea and a seasonal treat by the bonfire.

  • As you prepare for this shift, you will discover an immense need for slowing down, for silence, and resting. We encourage you to take this time to listen to those things that speak without words. Whether this is your first experience walking a labyrinth or your hundredth, you’ll discover something new as you attune with Mother Nature and yourself, supported by a community of like-minded women.

What is a labyrinth?

A labyrinth is a walking path—not a maze—with sacred geometry that creates space for slowing down, resting, and remembering our interdependence with nature and with all beings. Labyrinths have been used since ancient times for people to pray, reflect, and find peace and clarity. What will your personal journey on the labyrinth bring?
