  • Private Farm East Haddam, CT United States (map)

Envision the ending to your day with a Kundalini yoga class as the sun dips below the horizon, bathing the surroundings in a soft, warm light. Picture yourself beside a tranquil pond, its surface dotted with floating lanterns, while the gentle murmur of a nearby stream adds to the peaceful atmosphere. Under the sprawling branches of a majestic willow tree, this class offers a rare chance to root your feet into the earth, shed stress, and rejuvenate in the crisp, fresh air. Join us for a beautiful yoga and meditation class at sunset and embark on a journey toward enlightenment and inner peace.

If you're new to Kundalini or yoga in general, fear not! Jesse, a traditionally trained Kundalini Yoga teacher, will provide a thorough explanation of the practice before we start. Kundalini is as much a spiritual journey as it is a physical one, making it a beloved practice among yogis at all levels, from beginners to the advanced.

What is Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini Yoga is more than just physical exercise. It’s a holistic practice that combines chanting, singing, breathing exercises, and repetitive poses to rewire your mind and nervous system. Often described as a "dormant potential force" within the human body, Kundalini energy lies coiled in the root chakra at the base of your spine. Through dedicated practice, this energy ascends to the 7th, enlightened crown chakra, awakening your consciousness and unleashing your full potential.

Radiance is a gift of this practice. By cultivating our inner light through the disciplined practices of pranayam, kriya, and meditation, we come into alignment with our true essence, feeling deeply connected to the universe. In moments of isolation—yoga serves as a profoundly healing salve for the soul. It's a precious gift to ourselves and to those around us, who inevitably find themselves uplifted by our radiant energy. The luminosity that emanates from recognizing our belonging, both to ourselves and to the wondrous universe, serves as powerful medicine for anyone feeling adrift or solitary.

Most call Kundalini Yoga the most spiritual form of yoga. Its ancient roots date back to 1000 BC, when it was mentioned in the Vedic texts. Traditionally trained Kundalini teachers honor its power and potency by preserving its spiritual roots as they were passed down to them.
